We recommend to use a soft cloth wet with a 99% water solution with 1% liquid neutral soap.
Do not use:
For product cleaning, only use a damp cloth with a solution of 100 parts of water and 1 part of neutral liquid soap. Don’t use abrasive, solvents, alcohol and any aggressive detergent; avoid spraying the cleaning product directly onto the surface. Possible rests of dirt or stains have to be immediately removed.
Use a soft cloth dampened with alcohol diluted in plenty of water (90%). Dry immediately using a soft, non-abrasive cloth. The cloth will possibly become stained initially, due to powder coating that remains on the surface.
Do not use:
Abrasive products and detergents, acetone trichloroethylene, ammonia, wax or furniture polish. Always remove wine and acids immediately.
Use a soft cloth dampened with alcohol diluted in plenty of water (90%). Dry immediately using a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth. Wood caneté must use with care, protecting it in in case of presence of dirty and/or dust, that could deposit between the staves.
Do not use:
Products containing acetone, trichloroethylene, chlorine, ammonia, acetic acid, citric acid, ethanol, thinners, abrasive detergents, wax or furniture polish. Always remove wine and acid spills immediately. It is advisable to clean surfaces in the direction of the grain and use a waterrepellent treatment periodically.
Easy to clean with a wet cloth and a no–abrasive cleaning product. All products for cleaning glasses are suitable. Pay attention not to leave spots of marmalades or chocolate because rich of sugars which can crystallize on the top.
Do not use:
Abrasive products or sponges, products containing acetone, ammonia, chlorine and solvent, cleaning materials or against limestone liquids, cutlery or st.steel accessories to remove food’s rests. Steel wool or powder substances (they cause scratches).
It is advisable to use a well rung damp cloth to clean aluminium. Use specific glass cleaning products to clean glass and dry carefully.
Do not use:
Scouring pads, sponges, abrasive products or alcohol.
Maintenance:
The surfaces should be cleaned regularly but do not require any special maintenance, just a damp cloth with warm water or mild detergents. Almost all normal household cleaning products or disinfectants are tolerated perfectly well, as long as they are not abrasive or highly alkaline.
General precautions:
For best results in cleaning, it is important to remember certain precautions:
- although very durable, HPL surfaces must still never be treated with products containing abrasive substances, abrasive sponges or unsuitable products, such as sandpaper or steel wool.
- products with a high acid or very alkaline content should be avoided because they can stain the surface.
- when using solvents, the cloth used must be perfectly clean so as not to leave marks on the HPL surface. Any streaks can still be removed by rinsing with hot water and drying.
- avoid furniture polishes and wax-based cleaners in general, because they tend to form a sticky layer on the dense hpl surface, to which dirt adheres.
Use of laminate:
Dry off any water left on the spruce wood top: any lime deposit on the worktop could be difficult to remove.
Do not pull pans, plates or other objects across the surface, as you may scratch it.
Do not expose surfaces and splashbacks to heat (including radiant heat) for long, as it may cause them to buckle and/or crack.
Make sure pans and griddles do not protrude from the cooking hob.
Use pan stands when placing hot pans on the worktop, do not stand them directly on the top.
If these instructions are not observed the manufacturer will not be liable for any damage.
Everyday maintenance and removal of common stains:
As with any other material for interior design, a fenix surface should be cleaned regularly. It does not require any special maintenance, just a damp cloth with warm water or a mild detergent. Almost all regular household cleaning products or disinfectants can be safely used. For the most common stains, you can simply clean the surface with warm water using a non-abrasive cloth. Tougher stains can be removed with non-abrasive household cleaners or solvents. For older, dried or caked-on stains, use a magic sponge or soft cloth to remove them. After using any solvents, we recommend rinsing the surface with warm water and a detergent. Always rinse thoroughly to remove the detergent with clean water, preferably warm.
Stubborn stains and minor scratches:
Fenix® surfaces have a unique non-porous external layer, allowing you to keep it clean with simple, everyday care and cleaning methods. In case of stubborn stains, we recommend the use of a specific cleaning agent (as per the table reported in the pdf) to remove any trace of the stain. In case of micro-scratches, please refer to the maintenance instructions for the surfaces as illustrated in the pdf.

Routine cleaning:
Gres Design slabs are highly compact materials, they do not absorb liquids, odors and food fats, they are easy to clean and guarantee hygiene. They resist household and usage stains. It is however essential to carry out a thorough cleaning of the worktop as soon as the assembly operations have been completed, eliminating any dirt or silicone residues; it is also good rule to always carry out cleaning while the stain is fresh as stains left on the surface for a long time may be more difficult to remove.
Inadequate or late removal of mortar, silicones, adhesives and stuck residues may leave marks that are difficult to remove.
For daily cleaning of our products, use water, neutral soap and microfiber cloth.
Extraordinary cleaning:
to remove strains and/or persistent stains from the worktop, proceed following the instructions indicated below:
- in case of stains caused by accidental post-assembly silicone residues, use specific silicone dissolving products available at any hardware store;
- in the event of caused by organic substance residues (e.g. tomato) use Cif in cream microgranules and bleach applying it with circular movements through a scotch-brite sponge on the most abrasive side, after rinse well with warm water and dry with a cotton cloth;
- if caused by limescale residues, use viakal spray (no liquid) applying it with circular movements through a scotch-brite sponge with the most abrasive side, after rinse well with warm water and dry with a cotton cloth.
In case of signs and/or scratches on the worktop, proceed following the instructions indicated below:
if the scratch was created by scratching a softer than ceramic material (example a pot, or steel or aluminum kitchen utensils) what you see is a deposit of material on the ceramic top. Ceramic being harder than steel/aluminium has worn out the item.
In this case the material storage can be removed with one of the following methodologies:
- Smack Brilla Steel Cream (no spray) to be applied with a scotch-brite sponge on the most abrasive side using circular movements, scratch well then rinse with warm water and dry with a cloth;
- Cif in cream microgranules and bleach or "universal cleaning stone in paste" with circular movements with a scotch-brite sponge scratch well then rinse with warm water and dry with a cloth;
- if the scratch was created by scratching a ceramic object on the worktop, it will be difficult to removable. ceramic is a very hard material that only fears hard materials in the same way as a ceramic object itself can be.
What not to do:
do not under any circumstances use: waxes, oily soaps, impregnants (hydro-oil-repellent), fluorihydric acid or products containing fluorihydric acid.
Routine cleaning:
Generally, for everyday cleaning of laminam use hot water and neutral detergents if required, with a soft cloth. Follow the instructions given on the detergent package. Rinse with plenty of water and dry the surface with a soft cloth. To prevent matt stains, do not use products containing wax. Stains not promptly removed may leave more or less visible traces on the surface, in accordance with the tolerance of the specific type of finishing.
Extraordinary cleanig:
To remove stains or particularly resistant residues from the laminam 12+ surface, clean first with hot water and neutral detergent. If this is not sufficient, use increasingly incisive cleaning techniques and specific products, depending on the stain, including: > non-abrasive neutral ph detergents > slightly abrasive detergents > acid or alkali detergents > solvent-based detergents it is fundamental to comply with the information given in the technical data sheets and product labels.
What not to do:
Under no circumstances use hydrofluoric acid or products containing hydrofluoric acid.
To remove environmental dust, use a dry dust mop. It is not advisable to use wax-based products or self-shining wax. Tocare for the flooring properly, the use of a slightly acid detergent is suggested, such as deterdex in the first clean or natural vinegar. Use a small amount diluted in the cleaning water.
In the course of time, after continuous use of the tiled surfaced, it can be given a thorough clean if necessary by following the cleaning process used when it was first laid.
It is important not to drag any heavy object directly on the surface so as not to cause unnecessary scratches.
Ordinary cleaning:
Due to its natural porosity, marble is easily affected by oil a grease infiltrations. In order to avoid infiltrations or spots, we suggest to carry out a periodic waterrepellent treatment that can significantly slow the absorption time down. In the long time, greasy and oily substances left on the marble top can leave dark halos, which are difficult to remove. We recommend to remove immediately any type of stain in order to avoid irreversible damages. The marble sensitivity makes it susceptible to thermal shock. Therefore, we recommend to avoid direct contact between hot pots, flat irons and the top surface by using pot mats and other supports. Even though this materials is very hard and resistant, it still is a natural material made of calcium carbonate and it is therefore very sensitive to scratches. Avoid using knives directly on the surface.
Pay attention to the use of abrasive and acid products (i.e. bleach), lemon and de-scaling products as the immediately damage the surface. Can be cleaned easily with a sponge and water and soap. Liquid detergents that can be aggressive for the material and the direct contact with hot or warm pots is to be avoided as they can leave halos. It is important to remove spots immediately, because as time passes by, the substances can seep into the material pores and affect its aspect and beauty.
Anti-stain treatment:
A good water-repellent treatment, repeated on a regular basis, can slow the absorption times down and allows to intervene before the liquid penetrates the pores. Nonetheless, this treatment does not offer any protection against the corrosive effects of acid substances, which must be attentively avoided.
Revitalizing treatment (no shiny surfaces):
The natural stone have been supplied with a specific treatment to guarantee the sparkling and brilliance of marble. Usually, a subsequent treatment after a period of time is not necessary.
Never use:
Disincrustant products, descaling products, muriatic acid, pure alcohol, acid detergents, abrasive dusts, sponges and abrasive metal scrub pads. Avoid using knife directly on the surface.
Ordinary cleaning:
For granites, there are no specific indications to follow due to its high resistance to abrasions and stresses. We recommend to always pay attention and immediately remove the stains. In case stains appear due to absorption, they will become lighter after a few months. Acid substances (lemon, vinegar, tomato juice) do not leave traces following a regular cleaning. Avoid prolong contact with hot pots by always using pot mats or similar items. Granites are highly resistant to scratches. Nonetheless, for a higher durability of the original aspect of the top, we always recommend the use chopping boards. Even thought granites have an extremely compact surface, it still is a natural material with a porous surface. This makes it sensitive to oily and greasy substances that are liable to cause stains in case they are not promptly removed. Promptly remove by mopping with paper tissues, degrease with specific a specific detergent and rinse. Avoid using liquid de-greasing detergents with a corrosive components (descaling product). In order to make granite as brilliant as if they were new, we suggest to use a mixture of water, alcohol and dish detergent, clean with a sponge and rinse accurately.
Anti-stain treatment:
In order to maintain the original status of the granite and avoid the absorption of oily substances in the long run, we suggest to complete a period water-repellent anti-stain treatment that is capable of intervening before the liquid penetrates in the stone pores.
Revitalizing treatment (no shiny surfaces):
Our kitchen tops are produced with a specific treatment to guarantee the sparkling and brilliance of granite. Usually, a subsequent treatment after a period of time is not necessary.
Never use:
Disincrustant products, descaling products, muriatic acid, hydrofluoric acid; phosphoric acid, abrasive dusts sponges and abrasive metal scrub pads. Avoid using knife directly on the surface.
Quartzforms products are highly compacted and non-porous surface, thus requiring no special treatment. Quartzforms products do not absorb liquids, smells or food fats. Since they are not porous, they do not allow the proliferation of bacteria, resist acids, are easy to clean and hygienic. Quartzforms products are resistant to stains and wear and tear, scores, scratches and light bangs.
General precautions:
- although the material is resistant to high temperatures, it should still be protected with potholders to avoid the direct contact of the saucepan or kitchenware surfaces when they have just come off the stove. Indeed, direct contact with overheated objects or flames might result in permanent marks due to the heating of the resin or cracks created by the thermal shock. The counter should never be used as an ironing board.
- although resistant to scores and scratches, if its original appearance is to be preserved, the use of chopping boards is always to be advised.
- furthermore, the work tops should never be overloaded with weights exceeding 50 kg (do not stand or sit on the counter) and make sure blunt objects do not fall on it (knives, bottles, saucepans, working tools, etc) which, owing to their shape, may cause cracks that are difficult if not impossible to repair.
Normal maintenance:
Due to its practically zero porosity, the ultra-compact Dekton® surface is highly resistant to staining in day-to-day use and from chemical products, making it ideal for use as a kitchen worktop and as a surface for other kinds of work, both inside and out. For general cleaning, cosentino recommends the use of to use a neutral soap and water with a sponge or a sponge with soft fibres.
Cleaning stubborn stains:
In the case of aggressive stains, either from products that are resistant to normal cleaning agents or because they have remained on the work surface without being removed, we recommend using more specific products such as: solvents (acetone or universal solvent type). The accompanying pdf shows the various types of stains with their corresponding cleaning products.
Stainless steel is a non-toxic material particularly suitable for both professional and domestic use. Clean the stainless steel parts daily with the following solutions:
• water and vinegar (80% water and 20% vinegar)
• lemon juice dissolved in water
• non-corrosive and / or non-abrasive household cleansers that do not contain the substances mentioned below.
We recommend washing with warm water. Thoroughly rinse the stainless steel product and dry carefully. Always clean in the direction of the satin finish and never with a circular motion.
Do not use:
Abrasive products and clothes, metal pads, muriatic acid, fluorhydric acid (hf), chlorine–based detergents (e.g.: bleach), or similar products on the market that may scratch the surface.
For normal worktop cleaning and maintenance it is sufficient to clean the surface using a damp cloth and common detergents. Stains can be completely removed using water and a normal detergent. Stubborn stains such as food grease, wax or silicone can be removed by pouring a specific product onto the stain (such as bleach) or a detergent that must then be removed using a sponge or wire wool. Rinse using soap and water or alcohol and finish by using a dry cloth.
Do not place hot pots and pan on the surface directly from the oven or from the hob. Always use a pot rest under hot kitchenware such as pots, pans, earthenware items, electric saucepans and coffee pot.
Daily cleaning:
Use a damp cloth, a sponge and a delicate detergent.
Stubborn stains:
Tea stains, fruit stains and food colourants can be easily removed by using a product containing bleach (do not leave on the surface for more than five minutes). Then wash the surface using one of the common worktop detergent on the market and rinse with clean water. Nail polish can be easily removed by using a specific product (not acetone) or an abrasive detergent.
Do not use:
Detergents that contain acids (e.g. acetone) small scald marks can be easily removed using a traditional abrasive product or an abrasive sponge. If this should slightly alter the surface shine of the top it can be easily restored by using fine–grain sand paper.
