A view of the different areas in the home based on the universal aesthetics of interior decor but without forgoing functionality and above all innovation. This is the mood presented by Gruppo Euromobil at the 2016 Salon, with validity typical of businesses that can count on years of experience and are prepared to welcome inspiration from great designers. The aim? To create total decor where innovation, elegance and essentiality speak a single language.

Also this year Gruppo Euromobil has involved a host of internationally renowned planners, architects and designers who have worked together to produce the new items presented at the Salone for the group’s three companies: Zalf – living rooms, wardrobes and closets, kids’ and juniors’ rooms and offices; Euromobil – kitchens and living rooms; Désirée - sofas, armchairs, beds, rugs and complementary items.

Marco Piva has designed ARTE kitchen furniture, Marc Sadler the KOSTER easy chair and MILOS Island for Désirée; the Setsu&Shinobu Ito studio the YORI and SABI series of occasional tables and the SHELLON IN bed, also for Désiréé. Roberto Gobbo, a designer who works exclusively for Gruppo Euromobil, has revisited Filò kitchen furniture for Euromobil Cucine, celebrating its 25th anniversary in an innovative key. Jai Jalan has designed the AVÌ sofa and SOOR easy chair for the Désirée collection.

This year Gruppo Euromobil has chosen to present its kitchen range directly at Salone del Mobile together with Zalf and Désirée brands, the other two companies of the Group, to underline the Total Home Design project, which has a harmonious and functional overall view of interior decor.

The two important novelties of Euromobil Cucine for the 2016 Salone are Arte kitchen furniture by Marco Piva, and Filò kitchen furniture by Roberto Gobbo.

ARTE features striking good looks and is described by its designer as the kitchen of the future. Tiles, sinks, taps and extractor hoods all appear and disappear by means of a mechanical system; doors are concealed in floor-standing storage units or wall units that contribute giving a crisp elegant sensation to the host of infinite possible compositions.

FILÒ makes a comeback 25 years after the production of the first revolutionary version in 1991, re-interpreted in a contemporary key and with the addition of an industrial touch. While retaining the essential and technological air that distinguishes both versions of Filò, Roberto Gobbo revisits the archetype traditional kitchen, not forgetting the past but looking to the future with the intention of making the kitchen not just a practical work area, but also a meeting place in which to chat with friends while cooking.

Zalf will be at the 2016 Salone with an essential mood that pursues functionality. Elegance is the thread running through the entire production, which is designed to integrate perfectly so that customisation is extended infinitely thanks to a renewed range of materials with textured finishes, as well as new colours and fabrics.

The new Freedom wall unit system can integrate with all Zalf offer to broaden design opportunities by creating endless customer defined solutions that freely coordinate shapes and colours.

Slim, refined and elegant lines distinguish the Link System bookcase, which is enhanced by the exclusive Teca glass door featuring a slim aluminium profile with a titanium or dark brown finish. Other brand new items are the elegant Primo Fiore and Met grey finishes and a range of 12mm thick accessories completed by practical storage units.

Glass is also protagonist in the fronts of the Combi System wardrobe, together with the new doors with differentiated widths used to create geometrical arrangements and combinations made even more attractive by the handles with exclusive titanium and white finishes.

Lastly the Fabric glass solution for the sliding doors of the Picà walk-in closet, elegant and functional and featuring panels with the Primo Fiore finish. Elegance and functionality are the two musts of the Désirée 2016 collection presented at the Salone, also highlighting colour, with certain sophisticated trendy hues: dark blue, bordeaux and ochre, the leit motiv of this year’s new products. Young designer Jai Jalan designs AVI’ sofa for Désirée: suspended and sinuous, it is shaped like an embracing shell and with its slightly curved seat and backrest is ideal for relaxing while entertaining friends. The SOOR easy chair is another one of his creations, soft, reassuring, elegant and regal.

This year Marc Sadler presents KOSTER: an armchair with a timeless air that encapsulates past and future with a dynamic destructured seat harking back to the 50s. This armchair is now perfectly à-la-page, fitting into the contemporary styling of any architecture designed to accommodate people. Another new Désirée product is its BRITT collection of armchairs and sofas, wonderfully comfortable and absolutely elegant, upholstered in plain or two coloured fabric or leather. Marc Sadler has put his name to the new MILOS Island, a “happy” island on which to stretch out and relax. Oval in shape with a movable backrest, MILOS is an informal padded element that fits into any home.

The Setsu&Shinobu Ito Studio has given us the YORI occasional table: a low sofa-side table inspired by the delicate bonsai of Japanese tradition, available in black oak wood or marble, and the SABI occasional table: rational and minimal, SABI is a new series of low occasional tables available in three versions; round, oval and small, with a metal structure that recalls the concept of “Sabi”, typically used by the Japanese to identify opposites. Setsu&Shinobu Ito have revisited their Shellon bed with the new SHELLON IN, a version featuring a soft sinuous headboard upholstered with a removable cover boasting irregular quilted pleats. The 2016 novelty is a floor-standing bed frame which can also hold a convenient storage compartment.

Lucchetta brothers, who are well-known in the international art world for their ability to flank business and culture, will exceptionally host some of Jorrit Tornquist’s works from his recent exhibition “Jorrit Tornquist e altre geometrie del colore” at Pieve di Soligo (TV - Italy and some site-specific installations of his. A celebrity considered one of the most important figures on the international art scene for his work in the visual arts and colour installations in the urban landscape, Jorrit Tornquist will be present at the trade fair as guest of the Lucchetta brothers, who as well as being entrepreneurs are well-known in Italy for their uninterrupted patronage of the art world, especially of contemporary art. Their passion started in the far-off 80s and up to now has supported over 400 exhibitions in museums all over the world, including the Paris Louvre and d’Orsay museums, the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg and the Bilbao Guggenheim.
